L-shaped, parallel and island layouts each suit different room proportions. In many Gurgaon apartments, a well-planned L or U without an island is more usable than a cramped island for photographs.

Leave access to plumbing and the hob gas line. Beautiful toe-kicks that cannot be opened become expensive when a pipe needs attention.

Counters and backsplashes take oil and spice. Choose finishes you are willing to maintain, not only ones that look pale in a showroom.
